Anne Travers (Chair)Anne is in her third year with the NRG group, formerly as Secretary and now as Chair. She was first introduced to resident involvement as a member of her local resident association. As a result of this she was also invited to become a member of the Midlands Regional Residents Panel (MRRP). “I feel very privileged to be a member of the NRG and have seen many excellent policies developed over the years which the group has influenced. I believe that the main aim of the group is to ensure that any new or amended policies are beneficial to the customers of MHP, while still maintaining MHP’s aims”. |

Michael BarronMichael was picked to be one of the Spirita representatives on the NRG in September 2008. He was a resident of Rushcliffe Homes, and then Spirita, for just over six and a half years. Michael is currently a member of the Spirita resident committee for the Rushcliffe area and the lead NRG member for Sustainability. Before early retirement Michael served in the armed forces for 24 years and then with the Royal Mail for a further 21 years. |

Alan JonesAlan became an NRG member in September 2008 and is one of two Granta member to sit on the group. Alan is the lead NRG portfolio holder for anti-social behaviour. Within Granta, Alan sits on the residents’ forum as well as a number of sub-groups and works with a local charity group that supplies rejuvenated furniture and white goods to needy residents. June ThompsonJune joined the group in January 2008 as the first representative from Granta Housing Society. In Granta, June sits on the Residents' Forum and also a number of action groups dealing with more specific issues. June is a NRG representative on the Customer First Committee which is a sub-group of the MHP board. (Granta representative) |

Hamid BehvandiI was born in Iran and completed my primary and high school education in the south of Iran. I then went on to get my degree in petrochemical engineering from Tehran. I came in the United Kingdom in 2000 and at the moment I am student at Derby college, doing construction management course. I also working as a volunteer with the following organisations:
I am a very active person and as I believe that the most important thing in life is health. I do a lot of exercise such as walking, running, cycling and dancing and I try to help other people to be very active and healthy as well. |

Frederick LimbayaFrederick is a new member of National Resident Group, he joined in February 2011 to represent Metropolitan Housing Trust (MHT) London. He has lived with MHT London for the past four years. Frederick has previously worked as resident chair person at Drapers City Foyer Hostel and believes that membership of the NRG will give him the opportunity to make a positive contribution and a vital difference to society. He has recently completed a degree in Economics and Social Policy which he believes has given him a variety of practical skills that he will diligently and enthusiastic apply to his role in NRG. He also enjoys meeting new people, playing football, running and spending time with his family. Frederick is looking forward to working with the members of NRG and MHT London’s staff to make a difference its residents. |

Trudy HughesTrudy joined NRG in March 2011, as a resident of MHT London. She liked the idea of giving something back to local residents. Having not been involved with anything like this before she is looking forward to the challenge! Trudy enjoys going to the gym and catching up with friends and family. |

Jennifer CorbettJennifer joined the Group in March 2011, as a leaseholder representative. An active participant in local residents meetings and site inspections, Jennifer is pleased to have the opportunity to make a contribution to MHP’s future plans, always representing the customer’s viewpoint. Professionally, Jennifer is a Management Accountant working in London’s West End and is also a qualified Project Manager, Vocational Assessor and Numeracy & Literacy Supporter. She mentors graduates and is an active member of a women’s network based in East London. At home, she is a widow with two grown-up children and enjoys cinema, gardening, knitting & puzzles. |

Anne BethellFollowing in her mother’s footsteps, Anne spent most of my life working in the voluntary/community sector, helping out at jumble sales and baking cakes for fetes. At the age of 21 she progressed to hostel work, chairing charities and eventually managing charities at local and regional level. With this good fortune, Anne was able to study for an MBA in Public Service Management and other qualifications in Strategic Management. “I’m a total anorak. Bring on the details, Iove ‘em!’ says Anne. |

Saheed Adekunle LawalI am a housing and social care practitioner currently working in a supported housing. I have qualification in Housing Management & Maintenance and member Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH); Mentoring & Enabling Others qualification (Cert-South Bank University). My current roles involves provision of housing related support to vulnerable adults, Housing Management, developing Team Plan and Monitoring Performances, I have excellent problem solving skills, and analytical thinking skills and ability to deliver. I am a mentor to few staff members. I am currently an active member of my local residents group and I feel very privileged to be appointed a member of the NRG and membership of the NRG will no doubt will give me the opportunity to make a positive change and give back to the society. |
